CCWH and Public History
The CCWH Committee on Public History was organized in 2000 to address the needs of historians whose interests, skills and scholarship take them beyond traditional university or college settings. Committee members have assembled here collections of links to material that they hope will be useful to others with similar interests, as well as articles that have appeared in the regular column on Public History in the CCWH newsletter. If users would like to suggest links not included here, or wish to propose categories for future development, please contact Nishani Frazier at nfrazier@bates.edu. We very much welcome your feedback and suggestions.
The Committee was launched at the 2000 annual meeting of the American Historical Association, held in Chicago, Illinois. A year later, the CCWH luncheon program took the title "Going Public With History," presenting reflections on the present state of the field, as well as some objectives for the future.
