April 8: CCWH Speakers Series: Roundtable on the Catherine Prelinger Award with Michelle Daniel Jones and Aimee Loiselle
The CCWH hosted this roundtable on the Catherine Prelinger Award with recent winners Michelle Daniel Jones (2021) and Aimee Loiselle (2020). This event took place on Friday, April 8 at 3 PM Easter/12 PM Pacific.
Michelle Daniel Jones is a graduate student at New York University working on a project titled “Creative Liberation Strategies in Prison: The Alabama Arts and Education Project.”
Aimee Loiselle is an assistant professor at Central Connecticut State University working on a manuscript titled Creating Norma Rae: Cultural Contests over the American Working Class, 1970s-1980s.

February 2022: CCWH-Sponsored Virtual Sessions at the American Historical Association Conference
The CCWH and the Southwest Oral History Association (SOHA) co-sponsored an e-mentorship session about Oral History on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. The session featured a conversation with the CCWH Media Team Coordinator and President of SOHA, Dr. Farina King, who is a citizen of the Navajo Nation and has experience with Native American community-based oral histories.

Just like previous retreats, CCWH members could sign up and drop in at any point during the live hours of the virtual Winter Writing Retreat.

April 9, 2021: Virtual Roundtable: Careers for Historians beyond Academia
The Coordinating Council for Women in History hosted Careers for Historians beyond Academia, a roundtable discussing career paths for historians outside the traditional academic model. Panelists discussed how to extend career options beyond the traditional academic track, as well as options for more senior scholars of how to continue to engage with the scholarly world post-retirement. Panelists included Nell Irvin Painter, Kathleen Sheldon, Joe Stubenrauch, Elizabeth Everton, and Crystal Feimster (moderator).
