about ccwh
We help women historians thrive through events, resources, and community.
It is with great sadness that we heard of the passing of Dr. Rosalyn Terborg-Penn, Professor Emerita at Morgan State University, one of the three founders of the Association of Black Women Historians, a founding member of the Association for the Study of the Worldwide African Diaspora, and a pioneering historian of black women’s history. In a career that has stretched nearly fifty years, Dr. Terborg-Penn has made an indelible impact on not only generations of scholars but also countless others through her activism, teaching, and work in public history. She was a great supporter of the CCWH and we extend our deepest condolences to her family and friends.
