Join the National Collaborative for Women’s History Sites www.ncwhs.org for their annual conference (via toll-free conference call) Monday, October 28, 2013, 12-1pm EST. Featured speaker Dr. Eileen Wallis (History, Cal Poly Pomona) will discuss” Latina History: Making the Invisible Visible.” She will speak about Latina historic sites in the Southwest, as well as some national sites and the challenges of doing place-based women’s history. This will be followed by short Q & A period.
Following this presentation officers and board members will report on the current state of NCWHS projects and future plans including cooperative projects with the National Park Service, an update on activities of the Trails Committee, resources available on the website, and the development of webinars for personnel at historic sites and landmarks.
