Peggy Pascoe Memorial Fund

The CCWH assists funding for the Peggy Pascoe Memorial Fund to support graduate student research at the University of Oregon.

Peggy PascoePeggy Pascoe was the Beekman Professor of Northwest and Pacific History and Professor of Ethnic Studies. An influential historian of her generation, authoring ground-breaking histories of the American West that centered on the intersections of race, gender and sexuality. Her book What Comes Naturally: Miscegenation Law and the Making of Race in America (Oxford University Press, 2009) received five prestigious awards in 2009. It won the Ellis H Hawley Prize, Lawrence W Levine Award, Joan Kelly Prize, John H. Dunning Prize, and was a finalist for the John Hope Franklin Prize. Read more about Peggy.
