Tenure-track position with a joint appointment in the Department of History and the Women’s and Gender Studies program with a primary specialization in Asian and Asian women’s history, available August 2019.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in women’s and gender studies and undergraduate and graduate courses in Asian history, and supervision of MA students in Asian history; maintaining scholarly productivity; and performing appropriate professional service.
Minimum qualifications: ABD in history from an accredited college or university. All degree requirements must be completed by date of appointment. Must have active research agenda in Asian women’s history.

Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. in Asian history, with a certificate/cognate/minor in Women’s and Gender Studies; teaching experience at the college or university level; interest in using digital approaches that help distill historical meaning from texts and artifacts, and in public history and public engagement.
