The Department of History and Geography at Columbus State University invites applications for a one-year temporary position in World History. Specialists in all areas of non-Western History are encouraged to apply.
Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position has been filled. Preference will be given to applications received by June 1, 2016.
The successful candidate will teach World History survey courses and advanced undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate’s field of expertise. The starting date is August 2016.
A Ph.D in History (or related field) and university teaching are preferred but applications from ABDs will be considered.
Applications for part-time and full-time faculty positions must include transcripts of all academic work, and official transcripts must be presented prior to campus visit if selected for interview. Applicants must have the ability to meet Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requirements, in particular a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
