Georgetown University invites applications for the Director of Women’s and Gender Studies program at the rank of tenured Full Professor or advanced Associate Professor to begin August 2020. The successful candidate will be appointed in the Program of Women’s and Gender Studies and another department in the Georgetown College.
Primary Duties will include teaching undergraduate courses, advising students, coordination of programming and curriculum, program assessment, and shaping the future development of the program.
Georgetown College currently offers both a major and minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. In conjunction with the Walsh School of Foreign Service, the program also offers a minor/SFS certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies.

- A Ph.D. in any field, but preference will be given to candidates whose research and teaching bridges the interdisciplinary field of Women’s and Gender Studies to traditional departmental fields within Georgetown College (https://college.georgetown.edu/academics/departments-and-programs/)
- Evidence of exemplary research, teaching, and leadership in their fields.
- Administrative experience
