The Department of History at Missouri State University anticipates a one-year position in History at the instructor level beginning August 12, 2015. This position is renewable contingent upon department needs and resources. Successful candidates must be ABD, have passed their exams to be candidates for a history doctoral degree, and have evidence of successfully teaching US history at the college level. Duties include teaching four sections per semester of the US history survey courses, HST 121 US to 1877 or HST 122 US since 1877, or other courses as designated by the Department Head, and participation in departmental activities.
