Missouri State University is seeking to hire a Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the History of 20th Century Continental Europe.
Candidates without their Ph.D. must complete it within one year of their initial appointment. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate an ability to teach upper level and graduate courses broadly in their specialty and demonstrate an ability to teach an upper level course in the era of the World Wars as well as the second half of the World history survey.
The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds is required.
Submit a cover letter, academic vita, graduate transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and a syllabus for an upper level course and a survey in World History from 1600. All applicants must be completed on-line at http://jobs.missouristate.edu/postings/28150 ; no paper submissions will be accepted.
Employment will require a criminal background check conducted at the University’s expense. Priority will be given to applications submitted by 15 October 2016.
